Is there a word for someone who loves tragedy?

This just appeared in my email as a subject line from the NYTs this morning. Am I somewhat intrigued?

Apparently, there are a lot of people out there who the NYTs targets for these "tragic" stories.

I'm so far removed from having any empathy at all for this couple in the photo, that I might read the story with a sense of detachment, but not schadenfreude. I think it's evil to take pleasure in someone else's pain unless it's justice for that person's evil acts. I won't pay $1 to read this story, though. I'm not that interested.
