I don't have a Facebook/Instagram account. Can someone post the Georgetown Day School admits? |
It's really sick. Then, they publicly comment about the kids and disparage some of them. If a kid did really well, especially so. My kid had no desire to post. I noticed most kids did at his private HS and asked him if he was going to and he said 'no'. He did get into an Ivy, but he really isn't into social media. He never posts anything about himself. Maybe it's from the time they were a young age I told them it's best not to. He will congratulate other friends. He did post a few of his best friend's commitments. I have only followed my kid's HS account. And I'm happy and excited for all of them. I also have another kid who will be applying to college and it's good to see the trends, schools that particularly seem to like our HS. But, no, I'm not coming on bragging about our school's acceptances (like that insufferable GDS person last year) or trolling Instagram looking at other HS, etc. If I want to know where one of my kid's friends is going, I ask him. |
Oh god, they're back. Our school didn't even post many of the Ivy admits last year. In total, there were more than GDS. Larger school, yes. But, GDS wasn't some huge outlier in this area. |
It is gone - but there is the gem https://www.instagram.com/achsdecisions25.better?igsh=M3psa25xNnBjNHYw (Tookie really is going to Princeton) |
GDS will send their entire class to top colleges with a substantial portion to Ivies. What school is yours that has better outcomes? |
Our school sends about the same number. Your entire class is about the size of the top students at our HS. It’s all relative. |
Who cares? My kid is at a different non big 3/5 and got into an Ivy unhooked. Really don’t give a crap about other kids, just my own. Several kids were headed to Obie’s from our school last year. Many RD admits that’s tougher than the ED/SCEA rounds. Just tells me you have a ton of legacy and donors. |
You don’t need an account just click the link that was provided a few pages ago |
Where are the northern Virginia school Instagram handles ? |
Hilarious!! |
It is loved and much talked about even for my very small social media presence son. But we are at a large public HS. |
This is making me spiral. I have a senior who was deferred from ED school and this is filling me with a feeing I do t like at all. |
Right, I like looking at my own kids' HS but that's not what this is. |
