Samuel, Michael, Daniel, Steven, Jeffrey |
Those are good names. I like John and Benjamin. I don't think I've met a bad one yet. Jack and Ben are not terrible shortenings. The Pats and Chris's are more questionable. And invariably, your Patrick and Christopher will become Pat and Chris for most. Perhaps consider Samuel. Or George. Or Lucas. |
Matthew
Joshua Daniel |
I like all of your choices, especially John and Benjamin.
I think you’ve had a lot of great suggestions. I’d like to add: Timothy Daniel Tobias (Toby) |
Gregory (Greg)
Andrew. (Drew) George Mark Franklin Eric Alexander (Alex) Robert (Rob) Ian (Scottish for John) |
What about Alexander/Alex?
Scott? Jack is the most classic name imho. |
Do you mean Jonathan? |
John does not need shortening, and Jack is overused. |
The classic spelling is Stephen, but many people mispronounce it. |
Adam, Nicholas, Thomas, Andrew are some of my favorites. |
Gregory |
Aaron
Jacob |
Some that I haven’t yet seen posted here much:
Peter Victor Samuel Francis Edmund |
David
Kevin |
This is one of the more ridiculous things I've read here. Based on their grandfathers my sons should be Bronislaw and Adomas. They have names that were on the first page of this thread. Most of these are great names, though I personally vetoed Christopher because I can't stand "Chris". My son is in first grade and his class contains Matthew, John, James, Patrick x 2, Michael, and Edward (only one who uses a nickname). |
