Except...she's missing.

Reminds me of that Netflix documentary about the young woman who stopped taking her meds while on a trip to LA. She was seen acting erratically on a hotel security camera and ended up dead in a water tower on the roof.

Elisa Lam?

I actually think this connects to a huge issue in America - the vulnerability of those with mental illness to fall through the cracks.. our society just lets this happen again and again..one day you are functioning well, psychotic break, whoopsie! abandoned by society. We should find Hannah and all the others and it should be easier to treat people in need of intervention!

Yes- we tried for years to get my family member help in FFX county and they failed us. Now he's "an adult" and there's very little we can do b/c of his rights. its terrible.

Why do we think the dad committed suicide?

Family is trying to cover up saying he was distraught about not being able to find her. I'm not buying it. It makes no sense...... he was hiding something.

Sending your family cryptic texts, and being seen on many cameras, is not “missing”.

Right, but neither of those have happened for weeks at this point... Now she is missing.

I'm so sorry--we are trying to get a family member help; so many hurdles! I'm sorry you have gone through this it's so awful. I hope that cases like these shine a light and change laws.

Well the police and FBI have said that she voluntarily crossed the border into Mexico, alone, and has done nothing illegal, and they are now listing her as a "voluntarily missing person" with no evidence of trafficking or foul play. I'm still not sure why this is a story.

It’s weird. Who walks over the border to Mexico? When you live in Hawaii??

People in Mexico have access to social media. Why have there been no sightings?

Imagine that if she were to surface and say hi I'm ok, just had some mental health issues. Then come to find out her dad has committed suicide over it.

They have not shown any evidence of her crossing into Mexico. Police had gotten her age wrong (23 instead of 30). All pictures shown to date were taken in California.

He was grief-stricken and took his life in despair after searching everywhere to no avail.

I really don't understand why this story is getting so much press. The family is NOT being transparent and should return the go fund me money. This is NOT the first time she has been reported missing but family members are not being truthful about it. There are several posts about Hannah being involved in fake marriage for green card.

She is 30 years old. She is allowed not to have contact with her family or anyone else regardless if the reason is due to mental health issues. She hasn't been abducted or trafficked or manipulated. She isn't in immediate danger to herself or others.

It is awful that there are bonafide missing people who are out there and not getting any publicity because of this case.
