So much for cars, produce and most of what people buy at Walmart and Target. I guess their bribe wasn't enough.

And exactly what is the problem with this?

Well if you voted for him because of high prices, those prices aren't going to go down, they are likely to go up

Most voters for him because democrats abandoned US workers to favor urban elites that demand cheap crap built by slaves

Urban elites do no get cheap crap built by slaves because they can afford quality items made in the US.

Do you have a full time job or is posting on here it?

That you will pay more for everything. You think things are expensive now? Just wait.

Nope, just certain imported items. Just more incentive to produce them stateside like we used to.

Make "Made in USA" great again. The man is businessman.

Your stateside items are going to cost you more too. Our American businesses aren't going to lose profits just to be made in America, and that doesn't even cover the cost of paying American workers.

Yes. It’ll be exactly like the last time we did this. American businesses raise prices because there is less competition.

And where are these factories that produce all the stuff that is currently being produced in China?

If you have enough money that a 25 percent increase in cost for nearly everything is insignificant to you, great for you. The problem is that some of us are already struggling and that kind of cost increase without a corresponding increase in pay will result in people who were able to meet basic needs being unable to do so.

You are not too bright. It will not be a 25% increase.

And there will be supply and demand impacts that there will be other suppliers.

Don’t fall for globalist propaganda

Please explain. No economist agrees so it would be helpful for you to expand.

Stop deflecting.
Trump promised to bring down prices. How will this policy achieve that?

This didn't answer the question.

Not that poster you replied to, but in general it is a good idea not to fall for the "experts" propaganda. They are almost always just paid shills and mouthpieces. Take everything they say with a huge dose of salt.

Yes, yes. Only what Trump says is true.

Trump said the tariffs would remain in place until the two countries clamp down on drugs, particularly fentanyl, and migrants crossing the border illegally.

Good way to get it done. Quit giving them money also. Of course all the deepstaters in bed with the drug cartels will reeee.

LOL. Cute that you think that will happen. Who do you think pays the tariffs?

It’s hilarious that libs understand that tariff costs are passed along to the consumer, but think corporate taxes stop at the company bottom-line.

The cognitive dissonance is astounding.

Trump carries a big stick as a negotiator. He has a mandate and can threaten even bigger tarriffs if they price gouge and raise prices on Americans so the liberals are wrong when they say the consumer will pay the tarriff. No Trump will ensure the company is the one that suffers from that tarriff. I thought Democrats were for taxing industry, corporations, and the rich

25% is way lower than what he said for China. I guess he’s already breaking promises. He said it would be 60-100% What a chicken sh-t.

This Dem would like MAGA to admit it. Already lying. This. Project 2025.

No. I like experts. If I have a problem with my car, I take it to the mechanic. If I have a plumbing problem, I seek the expertise of a plumber. I would not fly in an airplane without a licensed pilot. I would hire a lawyer to help with a legal problem. Similarly, I find it more efficient to listen to economists about the likely economic consequences of an economic policy. Also, welcome the analysis of an economist with a different conclusion. Economics is not a hard science so there is room for disagreement. But if every single economist concludes the same thing, it’s not propaganda. The world is not that well controlled or organized.

But I thought preventing businesses from price gouging was socialism.
