Esformes, who had owned Florida nursing homes, was convicted at trial in 2019 of 20 criminal counts related to what the Department of Justice at the time said was the largest health-care fraud scheme ever prosecuted by the department. It was $1.3 billion in fraud that Trump pardoned.

Wonder why he wants to go after DOJ? Wake up America.

The grift never ends.

He’s going to let Medicare money get used for all kinds of shady shit.

You have any data to back that up?

The COVID death rate for the under 18 population has literally been around 1/100,000 per year. The social harms of COVID lockdowns significantly outweighed the benefits for this age group. The increased mortality from worse mental health and negative educational outcomes is substantially greater than the deaths caused by COVID among children.

I don’t agree with the lockdowns, but you’re quoting lockdown Covid deaths as if they would have been static without a lockdown and that would not have been the case. Change the conditions and you change the outcomes.

I’m talking about the number of covid deaths from the under 18 population from Jan 2020-June 2023. This was the annual per capita death rate from COVID over the 2.5 year period. Basically, everyone in the US has had covid at Thai point so, the lockdowns would have made very little difference in the total number of deaths among children over this entire time period. They didn’t reduce deaths much overall, they mainly delayed the inevitable for people with severe immune genetic vulnerability to COVID.

That’s hilarious. Giant fraud is happening in every nursing home. They are the biggest scams ever.

Dr. Oz is widely considered to be a quack and a fraud across the medical field. He is known to have peddled tons of fake "cures."

He is unfit to serve in any way related to the healthcare sector.

Trump's nomination of Dr. Oz just shows that Trump does not even have a "concept of a plan" or any clue what he is doing.

This might actually be one of Trump's appointments that makes the most sense which isn't saying much. Dr Oz does believe in consuming lots of raw garlic, ginger, and turmeric over the use of big pharma crap and western medicine so we have to give him credit for that. Otherwise, not a huge fan.

At least he didn't appoint Florida Senator Valdemort, AKA Rick Scott.

Dr. Oz always seemed a bit obsessed with poop and pooping whenever he was on Oprah. He got his own show just like Dr. Phil.

It's amazing how women like my mother, housewives with no post secondary education or employment outside of the home watched Phil Donohue and Oprah, religiously every afternoon.

She spent more time watching soap operas and talking about soap operas than books and ideas. Then she would say to me, "You kids are so smart. You have a stupid mother." That would absolve her of any responsibility to learn and read. The only book I ever saw her read was Dr. Spock, which she referenced as a guide to babies and children.

Oprah brought Dr. Oz to power thanks to housewives giving Oprah power.

Remember that Omicron variant came around Jan 2021 and that was when the landscape suddenly changed. Prior to that, the death rate for COVID was quite different and could be randomly severe for young people (my own personal anecdotal experience working in healthcare).

Was at JHU around 2006 for a talk on the next pandemic. Can't remember the speaker's name (he was the great man at Hopkins in the field), but I remember he clearly said that the next pandemic would cause panic without any change to outcomes. He was right. Anyone defending the lockdowns today is innumerate and should never speak about public policy. Honestly, the university that awarded such a person a degree should have their accreditation stripped.

Dr. Oz is reporting for duty and his first big idea is "that AI avatars could replace frontline health care workers" because AI is cheaper.
