I would go ahead And plan for the trip but maybe see if you could get trip insurance in case you have to cancel.


That exchange is for fields that actually would get paid more. An English degree definitely gets paid better at the Fed.


All this does is display your ignorance of what people with English degrees do. DH has a BA in English and a tech job that pays more than govt.

Do you realize it’s not easy to get a federal job? Your random English major isn’t just getting hired. Also, on this board, a lot of us are lawyers, scientists, economists etc…people with advanced degrees who were hired due specialized positions.
