You guys posting 40x already in 24 hours in an effort to recruit families means it's propaganda. And we know it won't stop. Last year's group ran a year or so ahead of time after they saw the crazy. We'll see how Cap does with a half Blue/half Orange roster in the big leagues. And trickling down for the same at Orange. Heard this weekend was a big goose egg. |
There were good 2028 players who left for MD teams before middle school. For the recent high school tryouts, ALL of the best remaining players tried out for Capital and every one who made the top team accepted the offer. The 2028 Blue team surprisingly tied Hero's yesterday, so probably slightly less squirming today. Play day games mean nothing and Capital will still likely struggle this year, but there definitely seems to be potential to compete with top teams. |
Cap parents and Capital club staff will not tolerate bad sideline behavior! No one wants it at Cap games--impacts the players, embarasses the whole team and college coaches notice! Refs will also talk to coaches. All teams have a parent or two but by the time the player is on Cap B/O these parents better get their act together since it won’t be tolerated and it will hurt college recruiting. That is the last thing a teen girl or team needs is an asshat parent on the sideline. |
Before middle school would be 4th and 5th grade, so no-- that is not when they all left. You got several 2028 threads cancelled and are now plowing on almost 400 pages of nutzo in a year. Come on back when we see all the fall results. DC 29s and Cap B&O 28s. |
Most of the good players tried out for M&D teams summer before 7th grade, and a few tried out the following summer. ALL of the best remaining players tried out for Capital and every one who made the top team accepted the offer. That is what happened. |
Nothing to be surprised about- every year Cap Blue teams tie or beat a heroes green team. It happened with the 24, 25s and the 26s... Both clubs are great and have wonderful families and players on them. Capital will be a top 10 team. Capital uses the equal playtime model, so that can reduce the ranking a bit where these other teams play the top players more so they will win more games, but at the end of the day college coaches are not really focusing on the ranking as much as how the team plays together and how the particular player that they're interested in recruiting plays. |
Notably exactly zero of the best players in the area took their chances on a startup for high school. |
Wow, you just jumped back 2 years pretty quick. They lost nearly a dozen potential players. Half the team. Not the normal 2 or 3. So yes, they have a half Blue/half Orange team now. Good luck to them. Keep the crazy going on the 29s. That worked out real well. |
I'm confused. Are you saying that the 28 Capital Blue team should be looked upon as half blue and half orange because it is not filled with blue caliber players? And you are saying this is true because they chose against Capital and went to MD teams before the tryout? |
LOL, you better hope that some m&d dc players come over. You guys got boat raced by m&d black on Saturday and the leftovers from pride and the kids from mce and stars aren’t gonna cut it. You need those m&d dc girls to compete with elite teams. |
You are correct for the most part, but m&d red has some decent squads here and there, the 2026s have a bunch of D1 girls. |
The “we play everyone on the roster” excuse is lame. So does m&d and heros in HS, it is part of their sales pitch regarding college recruiting. |
Fair enough. |
Sounds like the previous poster was commenting on the parents sideline behavior and not the girls talent. Which, to be fair, if you’re ever played against Next Level, you know those are some of the worst parents to share a sideline with. |
Oh I understand, but the parents unfortunately come with the players. |
