My kid just got $15K/year. We're in DC and that means she could attend Pitt for $35k/year. I'm super excited about this option.

DS just received $20k/year at Swanson. OOS high stats (incl 1540 SAT) kid. Very excited.

For PP, Swanson tuition OOS $43/yr. Room and board ~$19k

At Pitt, do you get an offer of merit aid with the acceptance or does it come later?

I believe merit came 2-3 weeks later last year.

Pitt parent here, paying more like $14.5K for room and board.

But yes, your point is valid that Pitt is well above $50K now for OOS, full price.
