Honestly asking Trump voters: how can you support him after this bizarre episode?

NYT also confused.

He can rent a room at Vegas and put on whatever shows he wants. This guy is not fit to be managing a McDonald's let alone running the country.

He’s running successful businesses. He did a good job running the country once and I want him leading the country again.

I don’t know why Harris’s fans continually post these threads. It’s not like you are changing any of our minds.

Fair enough - but this is DCUM - people post all kinds of stuff all the time. Deal with it or don't.

That's easy. Because he's running against an empty suit named Kamala Harris.
I've watched all her interviews and am utterly convinced she isn't at all ready to run the country or be commander-in-chief.

and he is ready?? oh boy.

Ready? He already did it once and he was fine. And yes, we were better off then.

He rode the coattails of the Obama economy, passed an 8 trillion dollar debt increase bill that consolidated wealth in the 1% and then bungled the pandemic to the point there were empty shelves, broken supply chains and dead bodies piling up in our overtaxed hospitals. But you seemed to have memory-holed that.

So don't vote for him. I think the reason Kamala won't answer the question of whether you're better off now than 4 years ago is she knows we're not.

Four years ago we were excited if we found toilet paper in stock at the grocery store.

What is the successful business he is running? Name one that hasn't been sued for fraud or been shut down for mismanagement.

Yes but you haven’t explained how HE is ready when you’ve got videos of him spewing nonsense or bobbing to music for 30 minutes looking lost. How can someone like him stand the pressures and rigors of the WH? Seriously give us an explanation of what went on on that stage last night.

Haha Maybe you should be Kamala's spokesperson!. (She isn't doing avery good job of it herself.)

All of his businesses failed.

Harris supporters don’t care what electing her will do to the country. You don’t care about the people she’s crushed financially with her terrible economic policies. You don’t care about the millions she allows into the country illegally on our border. You don’t care about the chaos and wars around the world that are raging due to her weakness.

She didn't crush anyone with terrible economic policies. Trump mismanaged the pandemic, which sent our country into a tailspin. The Biden Administration has guided the rebound which has been the strongest in the world. A president cannot control the prices charged at a grocery store, that is capitalism. the prices went up because of COVID and the supply chain snap that followed. Those were not because of Biden, but Biden managed to get the supply chains fixed. If the inflation was such a "Biden-Harris issue" then why was it worse everywhere else in the world?

I don't know what you're talking about, but I have been watching the Trump rallies on You Tube, both Trump and J.D. Vance. So much livelier and more enthusiastic than Kamala's

I can see where you might get the impression that Trump's rallies are livelier though I would disagree. But you lose all credibility when you claim that Vance's are lively at all.

He takes actual questions from the audience and reporters. I have to say I think he's very solid and maybe the smartest of the 4 people in the race.

Except that literally every single response is a provable lie. So sure, he lies better than the others. Is that what this country needs or wants?

Also, he has zero executive experience and has been a senator of zero consequence for two years. How in the heck is he experienced enough to be a president?

Well, with all due respect, that exact same thing could and was said of Obama when he ran (and won). As well as Kamala for that matter

Obama had actually run successful organizations. Vance has literally not done anything but be Peter Thiel's laptdog.

He is 4 years older, more mentally impaired now. You can’t deny that because we can ALL see it. And speak for yourself. I’m way better off now than under Trump. By a lot, to paraphrase his elegant speech.

Kamala will at least have intelligent, qualified people in her cabinet as support. Trump will put his kids in the cabinet.

What I hear you both saying is you don’t think it matters who the president is, they have no effect on the country.

He knows he’s already locked up the election because of the early voting data and internal polls so he’s just taking a break. This should honestly worry Dems a lot that he’s this relaxed.

The majority of economists say inflation will be higher under Trump. US economy is doing much better than other developed countries under Biden and Harris's watch.

Immigrants play a critical role in our economy and society. That's why Springfield wanted and asked for immigrants. Biden and Harris worked with Republicans to address security issues, and Trump tanked the bill. He doesn't want to fix immigration, he just uses hatred of immigrants to build himself up.

Wars raged globally under Trump too but you don't care about Africans.

You also don't care to listen to the numerous former staffers that are voting for Harris because of what Trump did on January 6. They know him best and have told you what most of the country already knows - he is dangerous and unfit. Vance is not going to hold back the chaos like Pence did. Trump will make sure to surround himself with more yes men like Pence.
