Bingo. My DD's score is in the high 1400s, which puts her in the 50-75th range pre-TO for a top choice....but the range has moved about 70 points since then...which puts it at the 25th percentile. The advice they are currently getting from their (private) counselor is to not submit but she is concerned they will assume it is lower.

SUBMIT if it was near the 75th %ile back when tests required! That is what the high school counselors say(they say above the 25ht %ile from pre-TO). These are prep school counselors who have worked in admissions at T20s and have an ear to the ground on what is submittable. They shifted to this plan back in 2022 and have been very successful. Test optional Please submit that score. They will assume lower. High 1400s is a plus at a school that used to have only 25-40% above that!
