Dealing with heartbreak too over here. I'm sorry, OP.

I'm a classical music lover myself, and listen to Tchaikovsky and Sibelius violin concertos on repeat, so I can't help you with the 80s music.

I wanted to add that ever since the discovery this summer, I've been binging on K-dramas on Netflix! I am east Asian but not Korean... and I love those silly rom-coms! The best one is wonderfully acted and is called Crash Landing on You. Please watch. I've already watched it twice. The premise of crossing into North Korea and trying to survive without being discovered is fascinating. The two romantic leads fell in love, got married and now have a baby together

Best of luck, OP. We'll get through this somehow.

OP here - Not classical in the real sense, but turned off the lights and bawled my way through several repetitions of Barber’s Adagio for Strings a few days ago. It always shakes me to the core, then makes me feel hopeful when the key changes. Would love any classical suggestions too! I think I’m going to have a few playlists.

I don’t often get the chance to watch TV but will try to carve out some time for yiur suggestion, thank you. I’ve been rewatching Golden Girls when I can’t sleep just to feel a little lighter.

Very nice, with a special nod to Hard Candy Christmas on your list.
and I can't believe that the Phil Collins songs had not come up yet!

Classical: while YMMV, this 2nd movement from Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 always makes me sob.

Yah. I wasn’t sitting around listening to heartbreak music. I was seeking ways to make the two married hos lives miserable …while researching and documenting and getting attorneys lined up. I was planning the revenge of a lifetime that would leave no trace and not land me in jail.

I’d skip the Foo Fighters—Dave Grohl’s wife is dealing with what you are dealing with right now. Delete all of his music.
