20g of carb per day would be a super weak ass endurance athlete. |
Nope. I run marathons on less than that |
Same. Do you have diabetes or some other issue? |
Depends on what your body is used to. If you had only been low to no carb for a month or so, never having done it before, sure you'd be weak and major headaches. But if you low to no carb for several months to years, your body gets used to it. The human body can make all the sugar it needs, you don't have to eat any at all. The body is designed to be pure carnivore. |
Heavy weighted situps, rope crunches, deadlifts, kettle work, etc. Anyone can build muscle, even ectomorphs. |
You don’t seem to understand. I had muscle. My stomach when flexed was rock hard. It was under fat so abs don’t show. Really we have different bodies. You don’t understand mine. |
It was a little weird. My cousin wanted to start running and so I just went along with her. She is shorter than I am and was less fit so for me the program was very slow and steady. Not ever pushing too hard kept me from any real injuries. She was the engine, I just went along for the runs and ended up getting really good at it. |
According to my trainer, it’s largely genetics, like where you carry your fat etc, and diet. |
This!!!! And even when they do see it…so what? How is it worth being hungry all the time so that people see you at the pool and admire your abs for half a second? |
Nope. I'm a binge eater. Zero carb is the only way I can keep my eating disorder under control. Plus my running improved tremendously once I gave up carbs |
I want to admire my abs and be impressed with my hard work for a couple of months. Then I’ll probably back off from that goal, gain 15 lbs back and still be impressed that I was able to get abs for the first time in my life. |
Check out this podcast. this was her goal and she talks about how she did it and what really goes into getting visible abs. A lot of it comes down to how hard you are willing to work and how much you are willing to sacrifice nutrition wise to get there.

I had this issue too and now I have abs. The problem is that you personally need to do more ab workouts so that your ab muscles are even bigger and will show under whatever fat you have, which I presume is not very much at 115 lbs. You don't have the "abs are built in the kitchen" problem. You have a "I need to do more ab exercises than others for them to show" problem. |
Maybe I am crazy but for women no, you cannot tell what there stomach is like in clothes. Obviously in gym/running/working out and swimsuits. Men you can tell in clothes I feel. Guys in shape know how to dress with abs. |
If you drop your body fat low enough to have a 6 pack at 41, your face will age a decade. Not worth it. |
