They are both risk averse and conflict oriented (i.e. we like conflict). Lawyers are typically mixed up and happily oblivious or morally ambiguous. I am just talking about myself and my ex. I am no longer in the field but now I mostly don’t like lawyers in personal settings. |
I see now. Thank you. That syncs with what I know. |
And in many cases, closeted* |
They both have armed a lot of awful people with powerful degrees. The number of embarrassing alums is awkward. They need to do a much better job at weeding out the applicants with zero ethics. |
They really didn’t want Chua. Jed was hot stuff haven’t published something that got a lot of attention and initially they would not make her a tenure track offer…there was a year or two where he was at Yale and she was at Duke. She was really pissed and there were concerns about his eating students while his wife was so far away and also some female students saying it looked sexist not to make her an offer too. Anyway somehow Yale ended up stuck with the two of them. But it wasn’t like Yale sought her out. They are each now on a short lease with restrictions on what they are allowed to do/teach. |
I didn’t know all this history. Tiger Mother Chua convinced JD Vance to write a memoir and introduced him to her publisher.(See interviews). Y’all may know this already.
I know a few authors who the started with an introduction to a publisher. Publisher paid them an advance, coached them, paired them with a ghost writer and all that. Obama’s ascent was pretty random too. I wonder who made the introductions for him. His memoir, which made him nationally famous; paired with a randomly open senate seat; his speech that catapulted him forward in politics….. Bam, the rest is history. I marvel at these connections. Especially the Hollywood-Publishing World connections to aspiring political leaders. And a lot of fate and opportunism. A lot of shoulder tapping and basic commerce. |
Which leads me to…
Why doesn’t Kamala have a better origin story? -Seems weird that I don’t know it yet. I read her parents were academics. I could totally work with that info and those cute 1970s photos. They might not need her mythology this election but they may need it for the next. (Dems were terrible at marketing Hillary: It’s like they didn’t even try). |
Who was Kamala’s mom figure? Dad figure?
Why don’t I know this by now? I repeat … Hilary’s origin story was terrible. It was BJ Bill. It was filled in by others. She sloppily shared a half-baked story about her dad selling curtains. WT?? Humans are story-telling peoples. We know this. |
If you think this dunce wrote that propaganda book I have a bridge to sell you. He is just an asset they gave a YLS degree & book deal to to push open borders model minority anti-white propaganda. The same topics his professor mentors have written about for 20 years. |
Yale and its Law School’s reputation have been in the sewer for a long time. 99% of professors identify as liberal. That’s not education that’s indoctrination. But if you want to really see what Yale has become, go on YouTube and search “Yale Nicholas Kristachis shrieking girl”. Every member of that student mob should have been expelled. |

+1 Let’s not talk about Asians’ success in America. It goes against the Dem DEI narrative. |
Well. There you go. Fighting the wrong people. This is what happens where there is a total lack of leadership at the top. (Im talking about nationally). The kids do their own thing. |

1. Clip circulated is almost a decade (10) yrs
2. That professor made bank when he sold a book after. Scandal = sales. Keep it coming. 3. This clip has not much to do with JD Vance or any current events. |
