Dallas/Fort Worth, especially Fort Worth. It’s more laid back back than Dallas and there are a variety of museumsto choose from.

Pittsburgh: science center, childrens museum, baseball game, aviary, zoo, natural history museum, art museum, etc. Great city for kids.

Easy direct flights and agree that the Fort Worth museums alone are worth the trip. Plus both cities have a great restaurant scene.

Any other ideas?

Looking for good food and atmosphere, charm, kid-friendly.

How old are your kids?
What time of year?

Hands down the best city for a long weekend is NYC. Nothing beats it. Since you haven’t been yet, that’s my recommendation.

Honorable mentions:
-Orlando (Sea World, Disney or Universal)
-Clearwater Beach, FL
-Gatlinburg + Pigeon Forge, TN
-Hilton Head, SC
-Anna Maria island/Sarasota, FL

There's also a lot of "weird" over in the Politics forum. Someone over there thinks Biden will "crash" the DNC convention and take back the nomination. There are lots of people who don't really hear what other people are saying. Seems they are in their own heads a lot.
