| Baltimore |
| Agree with Omaha. Also Minneapolis is fun. I want to visit Oklahoma City too. |
| Louisville is a great lo.g weekend from DC |
|
Philly and NOLA with kids
Asheville and Newport could be with kids but I would prefer without |
| Cleveland and Pittsburgh are really kid friendly. |
| Buffalo, MY. Great food, friendly, nice summers and fall. World class architecture and of course real pizza. 🍕 |
Charm City |

Detroit.
Great museums, downtown is nice now, a few really cool downtown hotels. Also great restaurants, too! Not far away is Dearborn with the Henry Ford museum, Greenfield Village and the factory tour. |
|
It depends on what you want to do.
Me? I'd go to Bar Harbor. Do some hiking, eat some lobster, cool off from the heat. |

If sticking to places within a few hrs plane ride (which I would recommend since it’s just a long weekend so you don’t want to spend a lot of time traveling)
New Orleans Asheville NYC Philadelphia If you like the beach, somewhere on the gulf coast of Florida Actually, St. Louis and Pittsburgh we have really enjoyed. Never thought I would but there’s a lot to do and good food and more affordable accommodations and attractions than bigger cities/more popular tourist destinations. |

Toronto
+1 for Omaha |
| Pittsburgh. |
You could easily spend two days doing Henry Ford/Greenfield, get some buddy's pizza and catch a Tigers game Cleveland is great, good museums, Rock Hall, Pittsburgh also good |
