No, read the EO. It includes guidance on how to implement a ban and a requirement to do so. |
You can get that written into their IEP. |
That is in their 504, right? There's no problem here. Unless your DC is always on her phone during class, texting, taking videos, etc. |
|
And before anyone complains that it’s only MS and HS students with cell phone addictions, from personal experience I’ve dealt with second graders calling mom from the class on their cell phones demanding to be picked up from school for one reason or another.
|
Exception granted of course if this is tied to a cgm or similar. |
| Our FCPS already enforces this in classrooms. I’m not getting the praises for This as it’s already in place in a lot of N. VA districts. My guess is that schools will required to be more strict. No cell phone use during class. Do people really think that teenagers won’t be able to bring a cell phone into a school and not use it during lunch or passing period time? That’s just not happening nor mandatory. |
I don't like him, the teacher tip line was insulting, but this is a good thing, as is the decision he made to support the freeing of the research lab beagles who were being mistreated. |
| What about smart watches? Parents communicate with their elementary kids during the day. |
They are not permitted at our ES. |
| Excellent decision. Never would have happened had McAullife been elected Governor. VA education is much better off with Youngkin. |
| They need to figure out how coaches with communicate practice info and other info with kids because right now- all on the cell phond |
This is nothing new for FCPS. I doubt you praised them for making the same decision. |
You know, there was a time before cell phones where all of these things somehow managed to work. |
Those happen after school. Let the van run until the end of the last class - kids can check just after that. |
Just like every executive order ever written. |
