Must be for MCPS staff only. Says I need to request for access. |
| Will they publish the data?? Have they released feedback from the many past surveys MCPS creates? |
People wrote their names, phone numbers, etc in the comments. They wanted Dr. Taylor to contact them I guess! ๐ Either way, it was a huge error not redacting info. |
Wow. Oh MCPS. |
On his first day as Super no less. Unfortunate start. |
|
Longtime MCPS teacher here who has worked under multiple superintendents. I will say, you have to give the new guy credit for trying to be transparent with the responses. So many were not flattering. I appreciated that vulnerability.
However, I agree that someone should have been looking for identifying information before making it live. |
| While I was reading it I could see that Chris Cram was also reading it. There was also a bright yellow cell at the top explaining they would be removing personal or identifying information before sharing it more widely. |
They added the yellow cell (info) yesterday, AFTER they were informed of the big snafu! I also give credit for being transparent but to allow that info to go out was a minor league mistake. Having been a Superintendent before, I am just surprised he allowed that to happen. |
So new guy is not a micromanager? Person in charge of the spreadsheet (was it Cram himself, gasp!?) may need a refresher in using spreadsheets? #mcpsheeting |
You are talking about the people that use paper time sheets. |
It's almost like there should have been a process in place....which is kind of his job as supe to ensure MCPS has? |
Exactly. No one sends a survey out that far and wide and doesnโt review the data first so as to ensure no loss of privacy, vulgar language, or capability to edit response. Further as others have said, MCPS has plenty of data (including from this year and the superintendent search itself) from which to start. This was a folly of community engagement. |
| So, y'all have already found out what to call him out on? Inability to micromanage the person in charge of spreadsheets in an office that still has paper time sheets in the 21st century? Third day in this job, 6+yrs as a Supe. Must be nice not to have to commute far from childhood home for a dream job while raising five kids at home. |
+1 I think it is a good idea and a good way for him to gauge what the concerns are. And making the comments available for all to see is the opposite of what has been happening over the last few years. As a teacher, I felt like I could actually write some things that I have wanted to say for a long time! |
