Do they ever move those meets due to weather? Or just wait it out in the car? (It’s never been stormy when we have had them but my kids are young)

100% agree. Really hoping it doesn’t storm as that makes the night so long. No, they don’t move them.

NVSL will wait it out as much as possible, but if they have to they’ll move to Thursday. It’s been done in the past. It could depend on where you are compared to storms and thunder.

We're hosting. Our board would laugh and say no if we asked to close the pool to membership Thursday in addition to Monday (b meet) and Wednesday

Years ago (2015 I think?) our relay carnival never started on Wednesday because of ongoing thunder. We did it the next day, but a different pool in the division hosted. It was messy but we made it work! If I remember correctly, D1 just didn’t hear the thunder that was very clear down in D11 and they did their meet…

It actually wasn't horrible. I have been to MUCH hotter meets.

Any complaints from neighbors? Do you make announcements? (I’m not saying you should or shouldn’t, but we do get complaints even with a 9:00 start.)

Our home pool occasionally does - but our HOA has basically told them "too bad." We host 2-3x/year - folks can get over it. No idea about the opposing pools. But this has been the start time at PMSL for the 10 years we have been a part of the team.

Our team doesn't have B meets on the week of relay carnival. No idea other teams/B meet divisions did!

We do. As a long-time team rep it's incredibly exhausting and stressful, but the majority of kids on our large team don't get to swim A meets much less Relay Carnival. It's already a short season, it seems unfair to have them get even fewer meets than the kids who swim A meets, Relay Carnival and Divisionals.

(D1 team) We have a B-meet 2 days before relay carnival and it is tense because so many swimmers are jockeying for a relay spot.
