I've never heard of a shelter that didn't provide support. What they don't provide is free, unending, level 1 to level 100 dog handling training and 24/7 consultation services for life. You're expected to prepare yourself/your home for any new family members you might be adding. A shelter can/will help you with any specific concerns that might arise in the first few weeks/months of your dog's life with you, but they're not your personal dog trainer just because you adopted a dog from them. You're expected to train and maintain your own animals once they're yours. If you don't want that responsibility, fostering might be a better fit. |
The problem is when people puppy shop, the strays inevitably end up as all of our problem. So, why don't you knock it off? |
| Ugh please don't ruin Bernes Mountain dogs with those super ugly and stupid doodles. Just awful. If you do get one, I hope it turns out to be the most annoying, barking, un-housebreakable, un-trainable, devil dog ever for you. |
No I can say what I want. If don’t want a stray that is my decision. |
You have the power, unlike any other human, to create reality with hopes? Wow! |
