A heated-up can of Amy's black bean chili with diced onion, shredded cheese and sour cream on top. And a seltzer water.

Grilled chicken with pesto

Steamed broccoli

Roasted carrots

Greek yogurt with almonds and berries (if I want dessert)

Ummm, this is a stroke of genius. I think. Does it ever backfire by making you eat a bunch more in addition to the dinner?

Japanese curry. Vegan ice cream. A glass of white wine.

Black beans on their own or with something?

A burger and a bag of chips. The burger is from my neighbor's happy cows.

Come over! I’m telling you, starting out with an edible is the key to making this boring diet (I’m pre-diabetic and my GP told me I had to cut out all refined carbs) sustainable. I don’t do an edible every night, but definitely on weekends.

A 1/2 cup macaroni and cheese. Probably a small plain spinach salad (we don’t add dressing) and some berries or watermelon for dessert.

This. But also I admit that I go crazy on Mac and Cheese night but usually I eat more meats and veggies than other stuff. And watermelon as desert will make you poop it all out before the fats sit on your stomach

We get one of those huge salmons from Costco every week and cut it up and freeze it for daily meals. We end up eating salmon about twice a week. One of those times is with old bay, another with lemon pepper and another as tacos or breakfast. Lasts 2 nights now that the boys eat more but someone with little kids could probably get a 3rd days worth
