Would you eat mold from spoiled food?

But did you know that penicillin is made from mold?

Yes. Penicillin the antibiotic, is made from the very mold that comes from spoiled food or water coming into contact with surfaces.

So, if you were disgusted by my question, or think mold is hazardous to your health, how is mold marketed as medicine different?

Thank you for this laugh, OP!

I agree that this is probably an eleven year old. Funny thread, cool that you've just learned about this. Now get off DCUM, no need to let this website turn you bitter before you even hit high school.

This question reminds me of people who are disgusted by the thought of eating cow's intestines or hoofs, but think nothing of eating ribs and butt.

A little mold never hurt nobody.

OP here. Sometimes the government can force you to take antibiotics if it is determined to be "in the interest of public health". For instance the government can force you to take Mycocin if you have tuberculosis. Mycocin is made from bacteria found in soil. The same soil in your garden that has slugs, ants and other bugs. The government can force you to take it.

I wish they would force you take yourself off the internet.
