Cheating has gone up, with increased enrollment of lower level Algebra 1 students being forced to take on TJ rigor.

Why would you think that? You think these kids are inferior - but why do you think that? So strange.

Academically, they are.

Kids learn from their parents.

Exactly. Cheaters encourage their kids to cheat.

Why is this more alarming than unethical boys?

Previously cheating was predominantly boys. Girls weren't doing it in large numbers. Now they are right there doing it.

I think what OP is insinuating is that since the enrollment policy changes, there are students there who don't deserve to be so.

Some TJ students built up their resumes with cheating during Covid when competitions were online. They just continued with the cheating.

That maybe the case but the very highly qualified are cheating too. Their stakes are higher and they are more desperate for the elite colleges. The under qualified are not even thinking about that.

Yup. Cheating has been rampant for years. Even before covid or admissions changes.

Did you hear about the ISEF scandal this year? The kid cheated and won $50,000. He almost got away with it. Many others have gotten away with it.

Source for that? When I was at TJ the only person who ever asked to copy my work was a girl.

If your students know who the cheaters are, what can they do and is there a way to report them?

Students have poor integrity.
