70s slang is in no way "racist." People of all races and backgrounds spoke that way. Some people don't get it, man. oh, it's the ole it's just a 'joke' routine quite new and innovative “I was just (chatting) about how practice is (most important). Don’t need some (know it all) coming in here confusing the situation. (Do you understand).” I’m not even the PP but I grew up in a predominantly black area, and yes it was common to talk like this around 2000. PP is probably 40’s and grew up with it. He’s probably being unserious, but there’s really nothing racist about it. A racist wouldn’t know how to string it all together coherently and true to the past. |
Pretty sure they’re quoting the movie Airplane |

Did you really try 'jivesplaining' on a DCUM thread? Really now, Black people were speaking like Shaft and Fred Sanford and Grady where you lived in the 2000's? (this keeps getting better and won't end well) |

(this keeps getting better and won't end well) Really not sure your motive but it doesn’t feel like inclusion. I said there’s really nothing racist about it. ‘Jivesplaining’ and ‘won’t end well’ is moreso sjw and ally talk, not someone worried about civil rights or equity. People have limited attention spans and Black people have real problems, to insinuate the post is a real problem (racist) takes away attention from the real problems. Assuming you actually care, yes I’m saying pick your battles. This ain’t it. |

| ahhh, racisms everywhere... run!! |
