Verbally abusive soccer coach

We left a team due to a coach who continuously yelled at DS. Last straw was when coach blamed DS (yelled at him “that is all your fault”) for passing back to a defender who had a terrible first touch, lost the ball, then illegally slide tackled the forward who stole the ball, causing a free kick and a goal. Took a long time for DS to stop looking at the sideline after every play to see if he was going to get yelled at. Last time I checked there are 11 on the field. Time to find a new team OP.

Possible we are talking about different coaches, but that play sounds familiar. I interpreted that as he was yelling at the team. As he has done many times where the defense plays around too much. I just did not agree with the parents all season who thought he was yelling too much. The team improved a lot, to the point where they nearly beat and outplayed the higher level team in the tournament final.
