LCOL- who moved from this area and it was beneficial?

+1 Lots of doctors and other medical professionals from CA moved to FL, TX, and other areas during the pandemic. Some good friends from CA were forced to move because the husband is a doctor and his medical practice shut down due to overly strict COVID measures. They actually love living in FL and he got a salary boost so it all ended well even if they didn't want to move initially. The housing wasn't much less expensive though. FL housing prices skyrocketed and don't seem to be going back down.

You can move to a nice suburb of Richmond for a Low cost of living and not deal with anything on your list.
