But maybe Biden doesn't see support of Israel as a problem. Many of us do not see it as a problem. |

Honestly, what are they thinking? The international community will not support this. I think this is so much riskier to Israel's existence-- the campus protests are nothing in comparison.
"Far-right Israelis held a march in Sderot, near the border with Gaza, attended by ministers who called for the reoccupation of Gaza. It coincided with the anniversary of Israel’s creation in 1948, in which more than 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced. Israeli’s Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi, a member of the governing Likud Party, and hardline Knesset member Zvi Sukkot, of the Religious Zionist Party, were among those calling for the reestablishment of Israeli settlements in Gaza. “For preserving the security achievements that our soldiers lost their lives for, we must resettle Gaza with security forces and settlers that will embrace the land with love,” Karhi said. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said, “First, we must return to Gaza now. We are coming home to the holy land. And second, we must encourage migration – encourage the voluntary migration of the residents of Gaza. It is moral.”"
Do you remember last summer when the ethnic Armenians in Azerbaijan left/were forced to leave Nagorno-Karabakh? The international community didn't say anything at all about it. Israel remembers and they want to do that too.
I doubt Israel expected to "get away" with something considering the disproportionate amount of scrutiny on them at all times.
Please do tell the repercussions Israel has suffered as a result?
What repercussions do you advocate for after this public trial we have all been forced to participate in?
Peace. A real two state solution that puts all this crap to rest. I know, such a horrendous punishment.
Or Palestinians can just admit they have lost every war and move on. Or they can continue to fight wars and lose. They started this current war and are losing, par for the course. Not my problem. Telling me I should care is selfish on their part.
They already did at Oslo. This "war" didn't begin in 2023. Ethnic Cleansing is a crime against humanity. I am tired of caring about Israel's security and making excuses for their war crimes when they clearly don't care about their own security and seemingly want to committ crimes against humanity.
Well you have a lot of feelings and preferences. Israel does as well. That is why there is a war going on. Not surprising. You should go help them fight if you care so much.
What I care about is that whole crimes against humanity thing. I'd be happy to help prosecute both Hamas and the Israeli Government. I'd also be happy to help peace efforts. What I'd not be happy about is committing crimes against humanity and I find it very off putting that you seem to get off on watching that. |
You are a minority. Support for Israel is the problem. We should not have gotten involved in the Iran situation. |
This election will be the first time a U.S president loses election because of unconditional support to Israel. As an ally, I am okay with supporting Israel but not the way Biden has done and certainly not with the way Netanyahu is behaving. I mean in his press conferences, Netanyahu address U.S president as “Biden”, not president Biden or any other respectful title . Small things show you how much respect someone has for our country and its government. |
Well, polls are clearly showing what his democratic base thinks of the unconditional support to Israel. Also, note that most people don’t have a problem with supporting Israel, it’s the come what may type of unconditional support to the point that Israelis are dictating U.S foreign policy. |
Israel has lost this war. They can’t even hold Gaza for 7 months. Hamas is stronger today with a bigger up side vs before oct6. The US always supports these type of loser regimes- unable to stand on their own two feet, hopelessly corrupt, no will to fight, unable to fill their man power requirements, totally incompetent and endlessly ungrateful. |
I'm not so sure it's causing Biden to lose but rather making Trump win since voters passionate about Gaza just won't vote. That's a win for Trump and a victory for Israel as a Trump administration will be very friendly with them. I suppose we will see what happens with this Gen Z tantrum |
My post was in response to the statement that Israelis are protesting against Bibi and should not be held responsible for the actions of their government. I am personally glad that some Israelis are protesting. That being said, Israelis are, for good or ill, tarred with the actions of their government. Like we are as Americans. Whether we vote for the leadership or not. |
Trump will appoint Jared as governor of Israel. |
Breaking News:
Biden administration sending $1 billion arms package to Israel https://www.abc27.com/news/top-stories/ap-top-headlines/ap-biden-administration-is-moving-ahead-on-1-billion-arms-package-for-israel-ap-sources-say/ I thought some of you said Biden was anti-Israel. |
Biden will do all that it can to push Palestinians out of Israel. Europeans believe in ethnic cleansing, and genocide. |
Tarred by who? People who don't like Israel and America. Shocking. People who don't like something don't like something. Groundbreaking revelation. |
