Is there any possible chance that we'll find out about appeals before Friday? Like would they ever put it out in the middle of the week? Or do we have to wait until 5pm Friday?

I've heard of at least two cases where the parent received an email from the AART, before the official notification later was sent by the AAP center.

I got an email from the AART at our school today that my child qualifies for Level 3 services. Supposedly this is independent from the appeal outcome, but I'm not sure why the AART wouldn't just wait another week to send out these emails otherwise.

Our school sent out the local emails regarding placement in levels 2 and 3 before we heard from the AAP committee about the appeal.

I know the local level 2 and 3 decisions were made independent of knowledge of the appeal, because the school only put DC in level 2 services, but a couple weeks later we heard from the appeals committee that DC had gotten into full time level 4.

The school had completely bombed my DC in the GBRS, so it did not surprise me that they only put DC in level 2. Thank goodness for the appeals committee because DC is thriving in level 4.

last year people said they got emails from the center school before hearing from the committee.

In the same day or days early?

I got an email from the Center school asking if we wanted to take the places there a few days before we heard from the committee.

I think the local schools hear at most 1-2 days before the families.

Same experience here. Our AART is new-ish and has no idea what she’s doing. Our local level II letter came a couple days before central appeals committee approved level IV.

Is anyone else trying not to constantly refresh email today, waiting for the appeals decision? I know it will likely come this afternoon, but it’s so hard to not constantly check.

Me! I wish they would put us out of our misery.

I felt the same last year and unsurprisingly, they sent at 4:15 on Friday.

I'm expecting 5:00pm and no earlier.

Do schools send out Level II and III rejections or will we just not hear if our doesn't get in to those, too.

At least your AART sent something. Ours does not communicate.
