+1 It’s like travel sports. You gotta pay to play. |
stacking Genie and DAS is dishonest. Either you need the accomodations or you don’t. |
How so? |
not enough eyerolls possible! look, if your 4 year old cannot wait the 20 min in the LL then you shouldn’t be going to amusement parks. |
No, that’s the way Genie+ works. You don’t deserve accomodations because you refuse to use the system provided! |
Because you’re doing all the things using Genie+ you claim you cannot do with DAS (walking across the park, etc.) |
What does the DAS pass have to do with walking across the park? I though it was just for waiting in line. |
I suggest you go read the Disney DAS page. The pass has nothing to do with being able to walk across the park. I think you’re way off base here. |
It should be either/or. You shouldn't be able to use Genie + if you have DAS. It's double dipping. |
A lot of people with DAS passes get their pass and then wait in other lines or go to other attractions while they wait. Whereas before you couldn't do that because you'd be stuck in line. I do think if everyone had to wait in the same line, lines would run smoothly. Disney overpacks the parks and also needs more massive attractions (like shows) that can pack people in all at once. |
It looks like you can only get a certain #of ride passes per day with the DAS. If you can use Genie + to get on other rides quickly, why wouldn’t you? I don’t see how it’s double dipping. (I have neurotypical kids and no dog in this fight. But I’m not following your logic) |
You can only use Genie + so many times in a day. Clearly the program is being abused which is why it's being modified. If you want to get to the head of the line of every ride, pay for the VIP service. |
Apparently, Disney does not agree with you, at least not under the old system. https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/das-genie-time-495493/ I will also add that using Genie Plus and DAS is also helpful because it allows the other party members to ride with shorter lines while the person with DAS sits out to rest. |
You can use Genie + once per ride per day. If you have a DAS pass for 2 other rides then you’re only getting 2 additional rides with the Genie +. Which you’ve paid for. That is not abusing the system. That’s being smart. If you’re entitled to receive a DAS pass that does not preclude you from paying for Genie +. |
Yeah I’m starting to realize PP has no idea what they’re talking about. |
