I have heard anecdotes were CW was slow to respond to calls and email etc from schools.
Truth is that it is not like the coach just picks up the phone and says recruit this player. The player and her parents have to do their work. The coach is like a guidance counselor letter of recommendation it is additive but not determinative.

Just watch their games those girls are not playing for these teams, they might be on the team and have a uniform, but getting zero PT. Only exception to this is the UVA girl who was on u17 NT she will play at UVA, but why didn't she go Pro like 3/4 of that team already has? Maybe a tier below so Union keep trying, good schools, not elite soccer players. The other two VA girls are also choosing college route as well, is this more evidence for a watered down NoVa soccer landscape?

I find it hard to believe the girls are signing up to this deal knowing they won't play. that can't be what they want.

And notice that these teams are making playoffs but not necessarily #1 or even #3 in their divisions. So it’s not just about the wins.
