Getting the ick from date’s drink order?

I don’t go around saying these things, of course.

There is so much wrong with OP's post and your post.

What someone orders to drink affects your opinion of their "hotness"? 🙄

Calling someone/something "girly" perpetuates the subtle, but no less toxic, gender stereotypes. You follow that up with it's "for people who don’t like alcohol". Meaning real men like alcohol and this guy is effeminate and silly because he doesn't drink what you think men should drink. As if there's even anything wrong with not liking the taste of alcohol.

You ought to reflect on why you haven't moved away from such sexist, demeaning and unhealthy biases.

+1. Do we really need a societal gender label for sense of taste? People who drink nastier tasting liquors are more likely to have a drinking problem because they are desensitized to the foul taste.

It is perfectly fine to want a partner who sends signals that they conform to gender norms. If you're on a date and the man is effeminate it's valid to be turned off by it.

I specify Tito’s as it is my favorite Vodka.

Mezcal + soda + lime is a superior drink

That drink order sounded more than fine and Tito’s is a fine vodka and preferred by many. Many prefer it over Grey Goose or other expensive brands, especially when combined with a soda.

OP, ok so guys who order vodka soda are out. Guys who have AirPods are out.

How much more limiting are you going to be? Do you ever wonder why you’re single?

Tito's is a great, neutral vodka at a moderate price. It's my go-to vodka when making limoncello.

Milk sounds pretty good, actually

Sombrero, hold the kahlua

The issue is not about the validity of finding effeminate men unattractive as romantic partners.

The issue is judging and ascribing gender roles based on one's beverage choice.

You sound like a toddler.

Sorry what's the issue?

Vodka soda is super common amongst women (counting their calories). It is a girlie drink choice and you know it.

And specifying Tito’s, a bargain/value vodka, at a nice place looks prole if nothing else. If you’re trying to make a good first impression on a date and prefer a vodka cocktail, at least make it Ketel One or Grey Goose. If you consume two drinks, that’s an insignificant sum of money.

Fine value vodka for at home and throwing parties. Is it worth name dropping in public, on a first date no less? No.
