Is Crumbl good or wayyyyy too sweet?

Anonymous
This thread is so DCUM it hurts (though I don't like Crumbl either).

Too big, too sweet, too expensive, and undercooked! (And I say this as someone who loves a slightly undercooked cookie.)

I strongly dislike them. But I love an Insomnia cookie, or the Wegmans chocolate chip cookies that come in a tub.

I think it is absolutely laughable they define a serving as only a 1/4 of a cookie. Who TF is going to only eat 1/4 of a cookie. No, the entire cookie itself has almost 800 calories, 30+ grams of sugar, 100% DV worth of saturated fat, and over 100 mg of cholesterol.

It's not even a sweet 'treat'. It's a giant health bomb.

Wow! Is that any specific cookie? I assume the larger premium cookie cake things are even worse! They are usually $1-3 extra too.

That's just the standard chocolate chip cookie. Here is the even worse freak show that is the cinnamon bun cookie:

I can't imagine feeding this thing to a child. Even if you cut it into 1/4 you're still giving a kid 20 grams of sugar they'll wolf down in about 10 seconds. That's borderline child abuse.

Americans should learn to live with the mindset of Swedish lagom. Why does everything have to be so massively excessive in this country? And we.wondee why our people are so unhealthy.

OMG no wonder I felt sick after eat a whole cinnamon roll cookie!

Well, as evidenced by this thread, alot of us cut them into multiple servings. Our family definitely only eats 1/4 per person. But I like them! I'm definitely drawn in by the presentation, and am certainly their target demo (my fave cookie is a sugar cookie with lots of frosting). That said, my husband thinks they're gross, and they go uneaten by our kids after the first piece. So 80% disapproval rating in my household.

We don’t eat one in a sitting. Cut them

Tasteless, chock of of sugar in your mouth. No vegan options or at least egg free options, dry cookie bed.

The big sell is the rotating seasonal cookies, asthetically pleasing shop.

That's it!

It's interesting that you mention this because several people that I have met from either Utah or Minnesota have "off" "weird" tastebuds. It's like they either like super bland food, food with too much cheese or overly sweet items as if their tastebuds don't work properly.

It's fine, but not my fave. I find some to be overly sweet with no other flavor to them, just SWEET.

A few of their cookies recipes were much better when they first opened in my area in 2020... Pink Sugar used to be a 100/10 cookie until they changed the recipe. Same with one of their brownie cookies.

I look at the lineup each week but rarely get any these days. The last time I got some was maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago when they had the Strawberry Pretzel cookie. Holy balls was that one good! I went back and bought a second that week before the flavors flipped.

What? Their tastebuds aren’t “weird.” You know how people speak of others having good or poor “taste”? The metaphor arises out of the fact that people have different taste—literally. And it is heavily influenced by culture. Not a lot of heavy seasoning going on in the upper Midwest, so people develop a liking for bland foods—because that is what they grew up with. Their tastebuds “work” just fine.

So go away with your ignorance and snobbery.

They are just warm. Pop a cookie in the microwave and save some money.

They are nothing special for the price.

Thise who don’t eat whole cookie are lying’.

Looks like we found the mid Western transplant. Your tastebuds don't work properly when you have never gas seasoned food.
