Has anyone on here over 41 gotten pregnant using IUI or IVF without...

Got pregnant naturally and gave birth when I was 41 and now have the perfect son.

I had my retrieval at 40 years 8 months old. My first FET from that cycle stuck, and I will be 41 years 7 months old at deliver. And I had 8 fully formed embryos, 3 being PGS normal. My doctor basically predicted this from stats. Age is a big deal but at this point your particular numbers (FSH, etc) are what's important.

3 natural pregnancies ages 40-41. All miscarriages before 8 weeks. Currently 42 and pregnant again, also naturally. Praying that this one works out. Not sure how much more disappointment my husband and I can take.

Congrats. What were your stats?

Want to add that my stats are great. My problem is egg quality.

Not at 42, chemical at 43. (got pregnant easily at 39, but then found out DH has severe MF) I had good #s and got 15 eggs per retrieval with high doses of stims. Still got 9 with low doses. Egg quality matters a lot more than #s at 41+ and I found that the stim protocols can help or hurt. I thought it was worth trying, obviously, since the stats are that it works for about 20% of people at 41, although fewer at 42+. REs thought I had a good shot, but I ended up doing DE (which I knew was a likely path from the beginning).

Got pregnant through IVF at age 41 and 43 (using embryo retrieved at 42 and 2 months); both ended in miscarriage. Beginning DE process.

Like 19:20 above, my reserve is fine (even now at 43) but my eggs are done.

Congrats, OP. But this is not a typical outcome after failing ART, so while we all love to hope, it's not going to happen at 42 for many people going through ART w/o donor eggs. Not to rain on your parade or anything, you got incredibly lucky.

Pregnant at 41 on third round of IVF. Second pregnancy at 43 using FET from last successful IVF round. No DE. Gave birth at 42 and 44. The two are now in middle school. I really had no idea what our odds were at the time.
