What kind of sandals do the men and teens in your life wear?

I don't understand this thing about men not being allowed to wear sandals? Why?

Because a lot of people have weird and regressive rules about clothing and gender

I’m the PP you’re responding to. I have no issue with people wearing what they’re comfortable in. My husband wears sandals occasionally but is just physically more comfortable in sneakers; one of my sons is also like this, while the other wears Birks a lot. That’s fine! I just can’t handle people imposing these meaningless “rules” on other people.

Exactly. There are a lot of variations in "sandals" for men. That was the point of the original question.... what types of shoes for teens/men in hot climates?

My husband only wears flip flops (hari mari) or espadrilles in the summer (Manebi). Never a "sandal."

DH wears Chacos. I tried them but they were too narrow for my feet.

My dad never wore flip flops or sandals. It was the boat shoe thing.

so he's running around doing errands on a random weekend day in espadrilles? he doesn't have a pair of tevas or whatever to throw on when it's hot and he is out running around?

They don't. Sandals are gay.
