| I have a few friends who work in NYC in tech and law that get some of these perks. My friend in tech has a break room filled with bagels, snacks and they often get treats brought in from bakeries. Him and my friend in law can bill the company for dinner if they stay past a certain hour. Both are young and single. Me on the other hand - I work in education and we pay dues so that we can get bottled water brought in each month because the tap water is not drinkable (at many schools I have worked at). |
| I work from home and my company still gives me a 1k/month car allowance that I don’t need. I use on groceries so my wife makes us lunch three days a week and we have a lunch date out two days a week. |
| My brother's office in NYC was completely stocked up with a ton of food and drinks. As a teacher who only gets 30 minutes for lunch, I was in awe. I hate packing my own lunch so I'd love to just get some snacks/fruit/cheese/crackers, etc. |
I know some of the big firms in NYC and Boston roll in the kegs on Thursdays, about 2 PM. But food? Nah. |
| Fannie Mae gives $10/day for lunch in their cafe. They aren’t in Tyson’s though. |
| Just look for a job that pays $15 more a day. Way to cut off yor bose to spite your face. |
Are they in Reston now ? Reston would be an easy MetroRail commute from Tysons. |
