| This a mom posting 100% |
For the sake of conversation, this was true in my experience. I worked in the spa of a hotel in NYC in my early 20s and could have two meals a day in the cafeteria for free with my position, it was honestly a huge boon for saving money at a time when so much of my pay was going to rent. |
| This is the strangest post I’ve seen in a while. OP has the mindset that all of the 60 year old men in my office THOUGHT we had when it was time to return to the office after covid. They provided bagels and thought we’d be thrilled to come back because of the free food! |
| Lots of big firms do but that’s because you’re working so many hours you don’t make it home for meals. |
| Drug reps bring in catered lunches to some doctor’s offices. |
+1. Now I have seen it all, truly. Holy crap. |
| I bet many tech companies provide free food and ping pong tables, etc |
| Mall fast food job was the best I ever ate. |
| Sounds like a good way to gain weight. |
My spouse works in Herndon for a company that does the same. |
| If they are bringing food in it’s because you are chained to your desk. Never worth it. Don’t fall for it. |

My job pays for my family vacation! We do an offsite each year fancy place. I have to go to a few short meetings but while family wife and kids go.
Some places give a free car. I have gotten free meals I have gotten big bonus or big 401k One job free medical Perks add up |
| Tech companies. in Tyson’s, inQTel gives employees free lunch. Many law firms offer lunch and also you can bill for dinner delivery if you’re, say, a paralegal working after hours. You can teach in many local private schools and get free lunch, and sometimes free housing, but the salary is low compared to tech companies and the like. |
I would be shocked if any tech companies provide a "real" lunch five days per week, as OP seems to be alluding to. I have never heard of such a thing. |
Google used to. I think they cut back recently to save money. People like OP packed a meal to take home to eat for dinner. |
