I need a girly movie to watch with a 10 and 12 year old

Little Women
The old one with Elizabeth Taylor

They just don't make quality girl movies like that anymore.

Emma
My Fair Lady

Randomly at dinner we started talking about Ms Congeniality and I was thinking my 11 yr old might be old enough to enjoy that. It’s fun.

Because my 11 year old still plays with Barbies with her younger sister and I don't want this movie to turn her off from that. I want my kids to stay kids for just a little bit longer.

Why would the movie turn someone off of Barbie?

It’s got things that will go over many 11 year old’s head, but nothing really inappropriate. I took my 9 year old niece and she enjoyed it even if she didn’t get it all. She also didn’t stop being a kid (not sure what that means) after watching.

If it goes over their heads, why take them? What a waste of time and money.

Even if the deeper themes of Barbie go over their head, it’s still entertaining. We’re talking about a movie FFS.

My ten year old loved legally blonde. Haven’t let her watch mean girls yet because of concern it may be too mature or inspire bad behavior.

I love so many movies in all these lists
I waited until my daughter turned 12 for Mean Girls and was glad we didn't watch it earlier. I don't think she would have liked it. Sadly at 12 she had more context for the behaviors than she did at 10.

Damsel was surprisingly good, but the 10 year old might be a little too young.

Please be careful with old "girlie" movies that have girls and women in subservient roles, or who need make-overs to get their prince.

Mine loves the movie Titanic

Thanks for the Legally Blonde suggestion!
