I think it’s hysterical and have really been enjoying it. It’s just campy and fun with great costumes and sets. The whale episode definitely sent me and I’m really looking forward to the Beach Ball.

That was the finale. So many unanswered questions. What was Norma planning?

It’s like something a couple drunk high school kids would dream up. Terrible plot. Terrible acting. Unlikable characters.

I think it got better with each episode, the more madcap it was the better it was.
It was so funny too, the dialogue made me laugh so much.

I love the interiors, all that gorgeous wallpaper and the fabrics! The clothes were amazing.

Unfortunately, DK and I couldn’t make it past the first episode. It was horrible.

So, I'm late to Palm Royale viewing (just started it last night) and agree the first episode or two underwhelming, especially with the costume, set design, and incredible cast. I'm glad to hear it gets better.

I went down a rabbit hole after watching the show because I recognized the voice of Mrs. Davidsoul but couldn't place the actress. Surprised to find out it was Julia Duffy (Stephanie from the Newhart show! Even more surprised to realize Julia is 71 years old, haha. I guess Newhart was on 40 years ago, but I didn't realize she was at least 30 when she played Stephanie. Also, she looks so old in Palm Royale. Do you think they used make-up/special effects to age her? Carol Burnett looks younger in the show and she is 91.

Also, it appears that Kristen Wiig did have some work done, apparently a face lift. I think she looks fantastic. Also, she wears a bob better than anyone I know.

I'm in the middle of the first episode, and I'm shocked at how young Laura Dern looks. She does not look like this in any other recent stuff. I actually paused the movie to google, because I thought - whoever this actress is, she looks like a 20-year-old laura dern. I was shocked to see that it is in fact her!
