I have read those lawsuits they will be dismissed. They are garbage same as the ones on the Opt out. These are not intelligent people and they find shit lawyers. All of these lawsuits are on line and can be accessed easily. And it is extremely easy to read them it you have even half a brain.

The teachers were clearly unfairly punished, at a time when sentiment was running high against Hamas, and Israel had just begun to destroy Gaza. I am sure MCPS admin would not react that way today, when it's clear Israel has lost the support of most of its friends in its overreach. More than 30,000 civilians killed in Gaza compared to less than 2000 Israelis killed on Oct 7th.

I don't think the lawsuits were meant to be won - they were meant to leverage some compensation from MCPS. I hope these teachers will get something.

Just like I hope this teacher will get something. Antisemitism is NEVER OK. Jews around the world are victims of Netanyahu's tragic policies in Gaza.

Alot of great teachers are on PAR. PAR is a punishment tool for teachers. It's like obey admin who offer no support or we can blame you with PAR. Just another way to blame the teachers.

If she’s such a great teacher, why isn’t she still at Kennedy? MCEA helps teachers appeal PAR and other admin issues if they are legit. Nobody wants to work with this woman and it has nothing to do with her religion.

Agreed. I think the general timeline is:

There is a teacher (Meshel) who was one of the faculty sponsors of the Muslim Student Alliance.

Some students who belong to the MSA but not acting in the MSA's name organized a walk-out. Senior MCPS officials were in attendance, as was Meshel.

Meshel reported hearing two students making antisemitic comments, but none of the other MCPS officials heard them and no one has delivered video proof despite essentially every kid filming the event.

Technically, the principal was meant to file a Hate and Bias form upon Meshel's report, but she called the students into her office instead. After determining that everyone (including the Asst. Superintendent) denied hearing/making antisemitic remarks, she did not file that form.

Meshel took her story to the Daily Wire.

My opinion: The "proof" of antisemitism that the Daily Wire claims to have is very weak. It's thinks like student members of the MSA organizing the walk-out but then saying the MSA wasn't sponsoring it. Both things can be true.

Essentially, TDW has it out for MCPS, and this was a convenient "shock" story, but there just seem to be a lot of substance.

Mcea will back admin before teachers. On the day where they nonrenew teachers who reported violence as mandatory reporters do, mcea threw the firing board a pizza party. No one asks the teacher coming off of a 12 hour day if they wanted a slice.
