Because they use social media for updates https://www.instagram.com/girlsacademyleague/ |
I was mainly referring to how the conference is structured with a north and south division within it. Only have to play the opponents within your division twice a season and the north opponents once, also believe it flip flops between home and away each year for those northern opponents to reduce travel. Whereas most families that play ECNL MA have to go to the NC/SC multiple times a year. |
| GA reminds me of champions league letting in anyone right before they collapsed |
| Alexandria girls have been totally left out of everything. |
Probably an issue to take up with the club leadership. |
Well, accepting a club like Revolution purely on the possibility that former FCV GA coaches can convince their old teams to move over and change uniforms certainly questions the GA’s standards for acceptance! |
This 100%. It would be one thing to say that TSJ was selling FCV to Revolution. Then you could be pretty certain that it really is just an FCV re-brand and, by and large, be confident of the quality of teams that they’re getting since it’s very likely that players/teams could remain intact. But as it is, with TSJ saying that they’re continuing to operate FCV with new leadership, now the players/teams likely get fractured. Some stay with FCV, some go to Revolution, some try out for ECNL, etc. So from the GA’s perspective, you can’t be sure what Revolution will be bringing to the table but you were willing to roll the dice apparently. But revenue is revenue, I suppose. |
South Carolina teams are no longer in MA. |
Revolution teams will be at the bottom of the table for a while especially at the older age groups. Maybe they have a big enough pipeline in their young ages to start seeing progress from the current u10-12s |
Their younger teams are not strong. It will be hard to poach because most of the clubs that border them have GA or ECNL. We're supposed to believe that these two leagues represent the elite of the elite, but northern Virginia can somehow support a dozen elite girls teams (FCV, SYC, VRSC in GA and Arlington, BRYC, Brave, NVA, VDA, and Union ins ECNL). It seems like time for a new 'elite' league to break away and restart the cycle. |
but not for SYC? |
GA posted on social media about SYC joining. |

I would think this may be a good opportunity for the top players on the regional teams…please chime in…what team will get better training, coaching, college exposure…Revolution GA or your ECNL-R?
If 30% of D1 players are GA…and your kid is the best on their RL team…where do you think your kid will get better college scout exposure GA or ECNL-R? |
|
VRSC must of paid extra to be featured on the ga media.
I just don’t see how this is good for the girls in general. Players will shuffle around and teams broken up. There just isn’t that much talent to hold up all these “elite” teams. |
Go away and cry with your ECNL buddies somewhere else. |
