This is weird, right?

The parent is missing something in their own lives - like they didn’t have a lot of college options themselves or something.

Everything about social media is cringy. I'm not sure this is any worse than 99% of the rest of it.

He’s preoccupied with the cost of college and claimed it was to let all the siblings and their spouses know about the high price tag . Every time she got in somewhere he would post the offer, the merit aid and the cost if you were paying full freight. Personally I felt it was too much info. I don’t care how any of my siblings do or do not pay for their kids higher ed.

OMG, so you can’t even privately tell family either? Sheesh. Why is it such a secret? I find this info very helpful and I’d also congratulate a niece.

This is anonymous forum to discuss all sorts of inane topics, many of them about human behavior. I guess I could have just scrolled on by, but then so could you have. Perhaps you’re an insecure oversharer yourself.

Lol i wouldn't even have looked close enough to know it was letter plus merit aid and it was multiple posts.

I think people who look too close or are over bothered probably should be off social media

And yet you keep returning to this thread to comment on something you don’t care about and don’t think anyone should even notice. Do you not see the irony?

Very weird. Only grandma and this anonymous board knows all of my kids' acceptances this year . I haven't even told my siblings.

I have read so many social media posts of my honor roll kid blah blah and even report cards shown.

Anonymously: my kid has had straight As all 4 years at a tough private and 35 one sitting on the ACT, 5s on all AP exams, but he might as well be a dope as far as everyone else is concerned because he's an athlete and we have never mentioned his grades/scores/acceptances to anyone.
