A question for vegetarians

I’m vegetarian and would not like those options. Vegetarians need protein, preferably lean protein not a cheesy or creamy sauce for their protein. That’s just me though.

I like to make people feel as comfortable as possible. Without knowing if this person would not like a steakhouse (and I agree with a PP that I wouldn’t ask), I would move the venue to something more open to all. I’m sure there are other places just as good, if not better.

The only two locations for this are in Vegas and Chicago. There are plenty of other amazing food options in either city. Don’t be so set about the location. The point is to be welcoming to everyone.

My vegan kid would get one of the non-cheesy salads, a sweet potato without butter, and a side of vegetables that don’t have cheese. Ideal? No, but for one meal in the day, she’d be fine.

No one’s going to die if they don’t get protein at one meal.

I don't eat meat or dairy, and it is a bit annoying to go to a restaurant where the menu literally (in the true meaning of the word) has nothing without meat or dairy. It's not that hard!

But as long as the menu has something a vegetarian could eat, it's fine for one meal.

NP. Why should all restaurants cater to vegans? You’re such a small percentage of the population.

Hyperbole much? No one said anything about dying.

LOL, the PP made it sound like she would vanish into ether without her “preferably lean protein”.

I wouldn’t mind but I’m a lifelong vegetarian and used to putting up with all sorts of stuff— bad meals, meals where all I could eat was basically plain lettuce, etc. Options have gotten way better these days, and steak houses often have awesome sides

You can get protein in all kinds of things including dairy. You will be fine not getting what you consider enough protein for one meal.

It's very hard to cater to vegans as you'd need to stock the vegan alternatives and they are pricy so they may not get enough to justify it. The vegetarian menu looked fine. You can have their entrees, sides or a salad.

They are all picky eaters.

Vegetarian is not picky eating.

By definition it is—they have eliminated an entire swath of foods.

That restaurant has vegan options if you looked at the menu.
