My husband grew up in western Mass and calls them sneakers. |
| Tennis shoes when I was growing up in Ohio. Now I live in the DMV and call them sneakers unless I’m referring to a sport-specific shoe like real running shoes or tennis shoes. |
| In Texas we called them tennis shoes, when I moved to Michigan in third grade everyone called them gym shoes. Now as an adult in VA I call them sneakers. |
