Are yoga pants ok?

Yoga pants should be worn solely for doing yoga. I wouldn't wear my bee keeping gloves and netted hat to the bank. Dress for the occasion, people. and remember that leggings don't look good/appropriate on anyone older than 8. You're welcome!

No one needs protection from bees when going to the bank. Yoga pants and leggings, OTOH, provide the coverage and flexibility I look for in clothing while I'm running errands. I don't care if you approve or find them attractive on me. I'm not dressing for you.

Also, mostly I go to the bank after doing yoga so I'd say yes yoga pants are appropriate at the bank.

Also I wear my riding pants to the bank after riding.

If yoga pants don't look amazing on you do squats, don't just stop wearing them.

Some women look good in anything. If OP is hot and wearing tight yoga pants or baggy yoga pants, she would look hot.

If she is chubby or fat, these pants can be horribly unflattering.

DH is attracted to me and likes me in almost anything I wear. He does not like me in baggy sweatpants or sweatshirts but almost everything else goes. He also likes the yoga look much more than the corporate look. I used to wear suits to work and he didn’t love it. He liked when I changed into comfortable clothes and on weekends.

Try edible yoga pants. Those are a winner.

Troll post or OP husband too uptight. It’s like the husband who didn’t approve of wife’s skirt because it was too short and too tight.

OP here. I’m not a troll. Thanks everyone for your feedback. I don’t think I want to start the precedent of him trying to dress me. I will have a talk.

Not okay on the first few dates, or for a nighttime date. Otherwise, whatever.

Female here- I rarely where yoga pants outside of the gym. I'll wear joggers in the house, but if I am going out of the house- jeans minimum.

Think long term. Would you be able to handle such criticism for next 50 years?

Why are jeans somehow better than nice yoga pants?

Who is he? A regular American or British aristocracy? Unless dukedom is in his family for centuries, he needs to relax.

My husband would love it if I wore them more often! 😄

Nothing worse than fat women in yoga pants. Most women can’t pull it off.

Even if you marry a duke, you don't have to suddenly start acting royal highnessy, stay who you are.

So fat women can't wear comfortable clothing to a bookstore?

My now-ex husband said this to me about a year into our relationship. Huge red flag which I ignored. Many years of controlling narcissist abuse later and I’m finally out.

I'm confused here. Your ex said he enjoyed seeing you in yoga pants and would love it if you wore them more often....and that was a red flag? I feel like there's some context missing.
