How is the bear in the comedy category? Stupid.

That’s how he is on the show. It’s a thing.

I quite enjoyed the Emmys this year. And they ended on time. 11 on the dot.

I don’t get Succession. I just finished it. A slow storyline dragged out over 4 seasons.I thought it was a lot of cursing and obit-alit-of-range acting. A lot of stuttering, muttering nervousness or just outright anger. “Tom” was probably the best and most complicated character so was happy to see him won.

I found it quite redundant as well.

It gets boring when a series wins year after year.

I’d rather see Best New Series win than Breaking Bad, succession, etc.

Somehow Bear is a comedy and Beef is a drama.

Seriously. The Bear is a drama with comedic moments and Beef is a comedy with dramatic moments.

I don't really like show coattails affecting acting wins - Ali Wong has only won this awards season because Beef has turned into the Parasite of this tv season.

Beef wasn't in the drama categories. It was a limited series.

The only saving grace is that television production has shifted, and instead of releasing a new season every year like clockwork, you get a new season every 2-3 years. That way there are lulls from the shows that dominate the award cycles. HBOs fatal error this year was airing Succession, White Lotus, and Last of Us all in the same eligibility window.

I do not get the love for Beef. We tried but quit after about 5 episodes. It wasn't funny, it was cringe worthy. And the acting didn't feel that strong. It was just a miserable show.

And I thought I'd like it because I'm a sell know grudge keeper. But that show was on another level. I'm honestly shocked at how many awards it's winning.

This. I tried to love Succession but seriously, it was the same plot arc every season.

I looked in the fashion forum for a thread on Emmy fashion and didn't see one, but the red dress on Suki Waterhouse looked awkward and ill fitting.

How was that a "fatal error" when HBO shows won all of the awards in the drama series categories?

They probably could have won even more awards over 2 years, if they weren’t competing against themselves.

Next year’s awards should be interesting, as the impacts of productions being shuttered for months start to be felt.

These actors must be getting bored. The Critics Choice awards were the night before. The Golden Globes were last weekend. No wonder Kieran Culkin is starting to tell random stories during his acceptance speeches.

Kieran Culkin seems like a fun, down to earth, personable guy. Love that he's having so much success and seems grounded and his brother is doing well too. I think See You Again should be the permanent In Memoriam for every awards show. perfect song and loved the Friends tribute.

Why did his male colleague kiss him for so long?
