4 year old pushed teacher at recess

We took away his screen time for today and sent him to bed early and told him if he pushes a teacher again he will lose his iPad permanently. I’m very disappointed as he’s never been physical with us although he does occasionally shove/hit his older brother with sufficient teasing.

Thoughts on sufficient/appropriate punishment? Anyone btdt and have advice? He’s a very strong active kid and we are planning to put him in karate and soccer as soon as we can age wise.

How does a 4yo have his "own ipad"? How much screen time does he get on average per day?

Depending on this answer, this may be a source of some of the issues here.

Was she physically trying to get him to do something and he tried using his words first?

But it is doubtful they would kick a child out of school over a push. A slap , kick , bite, or punch maybe. My 3.5 year old (at the time) got bit in the eye by a classmate and all they did was move my son from the 3 year room into the 4 year old room so I doubt they would do much for a push.

Your child was "bit" or "hit" in the eye? If my child have ever been bit in the eye, I would have raised holy hell. There is no way that biting the eye of anyone, whatever age, is acceptable, or normal, behavior.

He pushed her and it doesn't matter why. He is old enough to know not to push, hit. Or bite.

Yep this is the real question. Why does the 4 year old have an ipad?
