Teen loses AirPods at least annually !!

This is why I would never buy air buds for myself much less my kid. Do not buy her more. Make her pay for them herself if she really wants them. You are doing her Zero favors as a parent if you send her the message that she will always have a backup supply of her stuff if she doesn’t take care of it. And zero judgment there, like I said I know I wouldn’t be able to keep track of air buds.

I don’t understand. Is she just caring everything around in her hands? Does she not own a backpack or a purse? How is she just leaving and losing these items.

We make the kids pay for lost phone, AirPods, etc.

Ain't no rule says a dog can't play music

EarPods my friend - 19.99.

Why would you keep buying your child something so expensive (and frankly unnecessary) if they have shown they can’t take care of it?

Stop buying them. Mine don’t lose them because they are highly motivated not to. That includes my kid with ADHD who can’t find anything. He doesn’t misplace his cell phone or AirPods ever. It’s amazing, really.

Now if we were talking about the amount of water bottles they lose, that would be a different discussion. I don’t know how to keep those from getting lost.

+1. Let her use the wired headphones until she has enough money to buy airpods herself. I myself use the corded headphones. It's fine?

Both of my ADHD kids have not lost their AirPods. They’ve had them for two years. Stop making ADHD and excuse for everything.

+1 I’m 50 and when these came out I took one look at them and was like “wow, I will lose those easier than I breathe” so I never got any. My kid agrees and has giant headphones instead (that she still misplaces all the time.)

My kid has a Summer birthday, so Summer & Christmas was their (only) chance to replace lost items.

Thanks but I don’t want a lithium ion battery made by some sketch dropshipper inside my kids ears.

Maybe teens should stick with wired.

My ADHD teens told me to buy him 10 wired ones instead of 1 AirPod.
