If you are deferred can you reapply for ED2 or does it automatically go to RD and you cannot do ED2 to the same school ?

You cannot ED2 at the same school. Deferrals are put into RD pile.

At least you're released from the ED agreement. DS was accepted last night but he said if it was deferred, he was moving on to his #2 pick (he knew RD was much less likely for him).

I believe you can apply ED2 if you've been deferred in the ED1 round at MOST schools. In fact, they encourage it.

No, in most schools you'll be automatically considered for RD if you've been deferred during ED1. It would be a waste of time for AO's to consider an application again so soon. Nothing substantive would have changed in between rounds 1 and 2.

How did it go, generally, with BC last night? My son has only mentioned two decisions: a surprise acceptance and a surprise deferral. Did they defer many students or were most decisions "final"? Thanks.

I only know of 3 boys, all accepted ED.
