VA state legislators have very little to do with education compared to local school boards. Their elections focused on the bigger state-level issues like women's rights.

Do you or did you at the time have children in the LCPS? I did (we got the hell out of there this past summer). I saw first hand how deceptive the schools are, covering things up, exposing students to sexually inappropriate materials and on and on. The majority of people, like me, have just quietly packed and left. It’s not like this in other parts of the country for anyone reading this feeling like the county is failing your children. It’s just not… despite the bubble mentality that it’s the best!

The majority of people with students in LCPS have quietly packed and left? Really? LCPS enrollment is currently about 82,000; are you saying that it used to be over 160,000?

DP in Loudoun (Ashburn) with children in elementary, and this has NOT been our experience. We are very happy with the education and experiences our children have had so far out our school, and the community and faculty are so involved and supportive.

We have moderates, they are called Democrats. Sure, there's always super lefties in local races but the Dems in state gov just want to gov to function properly, fund our schools, keep our rights (women and voting), enact minor gun safety regs and keep VA great economy chugging along (but not making us a third world country and not attracting businesses).
