I certainly care when he’s pushing for legislation that appeals to a national audience but not state specific (such as claiming Virginians want a compromise/reasonable abortion restrictions when polling shows around 74% do not want more restrictions). He’s speaking to nonVirginians. He needs to have that laser focus on his home turf and what Virginians want. Not what will give him national votes in a national election. You should care. |
Depends if he will actually help or do harm. I was relieved when Trump was so incompetent - it reduced the damage. |
I’m not willing to be some social experiment for him. |
All the more reason to let him focus on something else. |
He has been a terrible governor, from administrative incompetence (like with school funding) to allowing his AG to meddle inappropriately in local affairs (like in Loudoun) to economic development (losing factories to Michigan). |

Uh
more misinfo do keep up That CCP factory that you’re referring to which Big G pushed for? the town council was voted out in its entirety this past Tuesday and the newly elected town council has put the plans on hold |
+1 Amazing that Democrats refuse to give Youngkin credit for his foresight re: the CCP and Ford factory. But unsurprising. |
Thank you. The end. |
Anyone surprised the idiot PP can’t spell “lobotomy?” Anyone? |

This is shameful. For all the posters claiming Youngkin is good for the economy and for him to willfully not put in the effort to help Virginia get the new FBI headquarters is horrible. Wouldn't winning this project bring millions of dollars into the economy (in construction and employment, plus supporting services), as well as thousands of jobs.
From WaPo: "Because of the governor’s irresponsible behavior, now Virginia is going to lose out on potentially millions of dollars of economic activity. It’s really sad that the governor chose to attack the FBI as opposed to doing his job and looking out for the commonwealth of Virginia. He chose to protect MAGA Republicans and Trump’s agenda." The three personal panel that made the decision unanimously picked Virginia, and then one GSA person overruled them (which is unheard of) and picked Maryland instead. Screw Youngkin. He panders to the national audience and Virginians get ignored. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/11/10/greenbelt-fbi-maryland-wray/ This is awful. |
| Huh, DCUM posters tried to have us believe progressives were taking their wealthy businesses over to MD due to VA being MAGA. Pollsters must just browse these political forums before declaring who is ahead in the polls. |
That is not "from WaPo", it is from Virginia House Minority Leader Don L. Scott Jr. (D-Portsmouth) in WaPo. Good grief. And the "one GSA person" who made the decision happens to be THE PERSON WHOSE JOB IT IS TO MAKE THE DECISION. |
| Youngkin gets credit for being a lying sack of crap gas lighting pos that only brain dead would support |
There’s a big discussion about this decision here for those who are interested https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1166855.page |
